Gladman Dhliwayo
Gladman Dhliwayo aka Boss Yala is the 1st son of Gideon Dhliwayo, (GD). He is a Harare based business and family man and, as a leader he was passed on the button by the late Gideon to ensure continuity towards the development of Zamchiya and beyond. Gladman remains actively involved in all activities within the Zamchiya area and visits the area regularly throughout the year. Gladman’s aim is to support and empower the community in projects aimed towards self-sustenance while monitoring and improving local individuals’ quality of life. His motto is Dedication, Commitment, Action and Love for All. Gladman genuinely believes that together we can make Zamchiya a great place.
John Dhliwayo
John Dhliwayo aka McLain is the 2nd son of Gideon Dhliwayo. John is also a family man and is currently based in London- United Kingdom. His roots are however firmly cemented towards the empowerment and development of the small community of Zamchiya and beyond. John is very eager to see the development of health centres within the Zamchiya community and is passionate about improving the lives of the locals and creating a healthier community. Passion, Empathy, Care and Progress are his core values.
Godwin Dhliwayo
Godwin Dhliwayo aka Diggz is the 3rd son of Gideon Dhliwayo and is currently based in Australia. Godwin like the rest of his siblings grew up in Harare but always maintained a close connection with Zamchiya where he would go, most school holidays. Through this Godwin also developed a passion for the area and as he progressed in his life always felt the need to give back to that community. With a wife and children of his own, Godwin understands the role and importance of family stability, safe and secure attachment and belonging. To that end it has become his mission to ensure that every child in Zamchiya has a place to call home and a family to which they belong as well as ensuring health and wellbeing for all Zamchiya residents.
Blessing Dhliwayo
Dhliwayo aka Bubz is the 5th son. Gideon Dhliwayo loved music of all genres including Jazz. He nicknamed Blessing Bubz after a famous South African Jazz singer(Babsy Mlangeni) and that name has become part of him. Blessing is passionate about community, togetherness, development and UBUNTU. The Makangaidze GD tournament is special to him as it helps bring the community together through fun. Blessing has been a part of MakangaidzeGD for many years and values its progression. He has very fond memories and is looking forward to creating new ones. Blessing implores those who are able to assist by any means to do so unreservedly towards this good cause. Trust Dhliwayo
Trust Dhliwayo aka Trumbo is the 6th son of Gideon Dhliwayo and is also a passionate family man. Currently based in Birmingham-United Kingdom, his passion is to empower and promote independence in the community, especially the youth. His aim is to ensure that every child has an opportunity to excel in their own lives. His motto is Let Love and Compassion Lead.
Allen Dhliwayo
Allen Dhliwayo aka Lale is the 7th son of Gideon Dhliwayo. Born in Zamchiya and grew up in Harare, his passion is to give back to the community and support schools and the community through sport and also improving health facilities in the community.
Thulani Dhliwayo
Thulani Dhliwayo aka Tudols, is the 8th and the most beloved last born of Gideon Dhliwayo. Thulani is a family man who is currently based in Australia. He had the privilege to walk very closely alongside the late GD whilst he partook in philanthropic work. GD would always say “A man who walks without care for his family and community is as good as a man without purpose”. It was through seeing him in action and hearing his wise words, that grew a strong love in Thulani to help others in the Zamchiya community and beyond. Thulani is passionate about supporting others to live a better and fulfilling life. As a man of Faith, he aims to bring hope to those that are without hope and light to those that are in need.
